Debates in Aesthetics (formerly The Postgraduate Journal of Aesthetics) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal for short articles, interviews and book reviews (ISSN 2514-6637). Published by the British Society of Aesthetics, the journal’s principal aim is to provide the philosophical community with a dedicated venue for staging novel debates in aesthetics and the philosophy of art.
What is Debates in Aesthetics?
The journal is published biannually. We publish one general issue, which features original articles, book reviews and interviews with senior philosophers of art or aestheticians. We also publish an annual special issue, which focuses on a selected special topic. For these issues, we invite commentaries on an original article by a senior philosopher, which will be published alongside a response from the philosopher concerned, as well as original articles pertaining to the theme.
